Caleb F. Hamel, Associate

Caleb is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
He received his law degree from the Pennsylvania State University School of Law in 2010. Before entering law school, he received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from Vermont Technical College, and followed up his engineering degree with graduate-level coursework in construction management at the Penn State School of Engineering.
Caleb has represented municipalities, developers, and neighbors in the development and permitting process. He served as lead counsel for a municipality in its opposition to the siting of a state police firing range within the town, securing a full withdrawal of the municipality from consideration. He represented a municipality in its approval of 184 units under the state’s Incentive Housing zoning program, and has represented both municipalities and developers in affordable housing zoning matters under C.G.S. 8-30g.
Caleb is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Planning & Zoning and Environmental Sections. He lives in Middletown, where he volunteers with the Middlesex County chapter of Habitat for Humanity.To email him click here: chamel@susmanduffy.com
